O Climate Sceptics how wise you are how prudent, for consider, if ten fire officers came to your house and nine of them said they were 95% certain that you and your kids would be burnt to death one night if you didn’t fire proof your house, and the tenth said he was almost as certain but not quite, what sensible householder would not say ‘look, the fire officers are divided and anyway they don’t know what they are talking about and anyway even if the kids are burnt to death one night we could always say why didn’t somebody tell us’ so eat drink and be merry at Christmas with not a thought of what tomorrow might bring.
